A woman has claimed that she was scammed by her party planner for her son's first birthday bash. She paid $10,000 for a lavish birthday party and $800 for a five-tiered cake that was supposed to serve 60 guests. However, the cake turned out to be made of Styrofoam. The mother said that the party planner had hired a baker and told her to make a fake cake, which was priced at $400.
